Students will paint a mural at the Rio Grande Nature Center, which will be approved by the local government. This mural will depict the Puerto Rican parrot and the El Yunque rainforest, for conservation efforts. It will have the slogan "Preserve Our Parrot" and "Preservan Nuestro Pájaro" written on it. It will also have subtext explaining how the main problem for the parrot is it being taken as a pet. The Puerto Rican parrot is an important part of Puerto Rican heritage and this will help spread awareness of the Endangered species in the areas surrounding El Yunque. This will elucidate to citizens that taking parrots as pets is poaching and illegal, and to attack any poachers in the area. This will prevent the further disappearance of the parrot.
